AJOSE STRUGGLING TO SCORE

Even the arrival of Bobby Grant has failed to bring an upturn to the fortunes of Scunthorpe United. The club are struggling down at the bottom of League One and a lot has been attributed to the failure of the strikers to score the goals. Even though they have been performing well of late, it seems to be a long wait for Scunthorpe United to be relieved of relegation troubles at least for the near future. Nicky Ajose is one among the strikers for Scunthorpe United and he too has failed to deliver in recent weeks.

The failure to keep clean sheets has also been one of the major problems for Scunthorpe United. They recently let in three goals against Notts County, while they conceded two against Carlisle. However, the 0-0 draw with Exeter might have been the confidence boost that the defence had been waiting for. Scunthorpe United will be looking to build on this performance by scoring a few goals in the process as well. They are currently just one point and one place above the relegation zone. The club has been in troubled times of late and relegation will certainly not help their case. The arrival of Bobby Grant was expected to be the saviour of the club, but it has not turned out to be the case.

“He looks like the sort of player who could perform in the Championship at the very least,” he enthused. If Hartlepool United had a Bobby Grant in their ranks, they’d be looking at a very successful season,” former Premier League referee Jeff Winter said when asked about Bobby Grant. The striker has failed to score at least one goal for Scunthorpe this season. Nicky Ajose has also struggled for confidence in recent weeks, despite making a good start.
